The Grimsby Public Library (GPL) is a central hub for information, learning, and community engagement, serving the residents of Grimsby and surrounding areas. The Library is a single branch that serves a population of 29,000 residents. The Library provides equitable access to collections, programs, and services that promote literacy, and education, while fostering meaningful connections across the community. With welcoming spaces, innovative services, and a commitment to inclusion, the Library plays a vital role in enriching the Grimsby community it serves.
 

In 2025, the Library completed a comprehensive Feasibility Study that gathered valuable community input and data. The findings of this study will inform the next phase of planning as the Library prepares its 2026–2030 Strategic Plan. This Strategic Plan will serve as a guiding framework to ensure the Library remains responsive to community needs, aligned with municipal priorities, and consistent with best practices in public library service delivery.
