This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Town of Grimsby (the “Town”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Cultural Strategic Plan for Grimsby Museum and Art Gallery, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”).

The development of a five-year Cultural Strategic Plan for the Grimsby Museum and the Grimsby Public Art Gallery will be guided by a structured set of deliverables designed to ensure a thoughtful, inclusive, and data-informed process. Beginning with a detailed project work plan and timeline, the initiative will establish a clear roadmap for achieving meaningful and impactful outcomes.

A comprehensive cultural asset map and SWOT analysis will lay the groundwork by identifying existing resources, gaps, and opportunities within Grimsby's cultural landscape. Community engagement will play a central role in shaping the strategy, with a summary report capturing the voices and priorities of residents, artists, and stakeholders.

These foundational elements will inform a strategic framework—defining vision, mission, and goals—which will serve as the basis for the draft and final Cultural Strategic Plans. To support effective communication and adoption, presentation materials will be developed for use with Town Council, stakeholders, and the broader community.

Together, these deliverables will map a path toward a vibrant, inclusive, and resilient cultural future for Grimsby.
