The work for this contract comprises of park construction including but not limited to: grading, asphalt paving, concrete work, sub-drainage, armourstone retaining walls, playgrounds, tree planting, signage, beach sand area, sodding, installation of naturalization areas, installation of washroom building, and site furniture installations (including benches and shade structures). Re: Termination of RFT 2022-13 PRC Casablanca Waterfront Park Construction On behalf of the Corporation of the Town of Grimsby, this notice is to advise you that the bid for RFT 2022-13 PRC has been cancelled. The budget for this project was $3.2 million with the RFT designed to be completed at said amount. However, due to the current turbulent market this is now out of reach. The Town cannot proceed with award as per conditions in the Procurement By-Law, lack of funds available to cover the difference, and lack of budget approval. The Town anticipates it will be reissuing the RFT with a reduced scope of requirements. All bid takers will be advised when the new RFT is released.
